Victoria is an area in the SW1 postcode in the City of Westminster with Pimlico and Millbank to the south, Belgravia to the west and the royal parks and Buckingham Palace to the north.
The area was designated as an “opportunity area” in the Mayors London Plan in 2011 and since then has seen significant levels of development long Victoria Street and around the listed station with major road improvements to ease traffic congestion.
The local area is dominated by the red brick Catholic cathedral, which was built in 1903 on the site of an old prison and Portland House on Bressenden Place. It has amazing views across London and the gardens at Buckingham Palace.
Victoria has one of the busiest stations in London with a large coach and bus terminus close-by. It’s also an area that connects several parts of London which makes it a very busy and popular business district.
The last three years or so has seen a significant level of office space open in the area around the Cardinal Place mall. The area is home to a wide range of businesses from large corporate’s like Intuit and Barclaycard and institutions like The Federation of Small Business.

Victoria offers businesses all the amenities you would expect from a thriving area of London including the recently developed Cardinal shopping mall. Marks and Spencer, Hotel Chocolat, Molton Brown and Mango amongst others are all here, along with a large House of Fraser department store further down Victoria Street.
There are many bars and restaurants in the area to meet friends and colleagues after work. Try the highly rated Victoria which serves traditional British food and ales or Balls Brothers serving a great selection of wines in a traditional setting.
Victoria is well placed for a walk along the Thames which is close by at Millbank or a walk around one of the three royal parks that are a short walk away.
With great shopping, lots of great cafes and bars and plenty of good places to eat, Victoria is a great business location and just a stones-throw from Westminster and the West End.

Westminster Cathedral – The centre of the Catholic Church in Britain, it’s made from distinctive red brick and the tower has amazing views across London.
Green Park, Hyde Park and St James’s Park are all close-by for quiet time away from the office.
Buckingham Palace is just a short walk from Victoria and is open to visitors during the summer months.
Westminster Abbey is about a ten minute walk away in Parliament Square along with the Palace of Westminster.
Tate Britain is one stop on the Victoria line and home to the national collection of British art.
