Waterloo is located in the London Borough of Lambeth, south of the river Thames and opposite Westminster on the north side of the river. Named after the British victory in the Napoleonic wars it has a busy mainline station at the heart of this area of South London.
This area of London is well connected to the City via the Waterloo and City line providing a direct connection to Bank and also Canary Wharf and parts of East London via the Jubilee line. Although this location is south of the river you are no more than a short Tube journey away from the other major areas of the city.
