Originally built in the 1800s, Stratford Workshops used to be the printing works for Great Eastern Railways and most of the GER’s printing requirements - posters, timetables, ticketing - were handled here. When the works were closed in the 60s, the building was converted into East London’s very first start up building. Today the building is home to over a hundred independent creative businesses. With over 105 units, Stratford Workshops is already home to a vibrant and diverse mix of creative occupiers. From fashion designers to jewellery makers, digital printers to embroidery creators; the atmosphere here is dynamic and inspiring. Spaces made to work for everyone - whether you are an individual entrepreneur looking for an affordable place to kickstart your first idea, or an established SME looking for especialised workshop space , Stratford Workshops is the place for you. Providing high quality, characterful and heritage-rich spaces at an affordable price point, everything here is designed to help creative businesses thrive.
Situated adjacent to the Stratford DLR station and less than 350m from the crossrail and underground station, the workshops are exceptionally well connected. With westfield and Stratford Centre also on the door step, a huge variety of restaurants, shops and leisure activities are just minutes away.
